Mass Shooting at Empire State Building

FoxNews — At least five people were shot and ten injured when a gunman opened fire near the Empire State Building in Manhattan, the New York City Police Department confirmed to FoxNews.com.

Authorities said five victims were shot just after 9 a.m. Friday and that the gunman was killed by police. Officials would not confirm the conditions of the victims, saying only that 10 people were injured in the shooting.

A law enforcement source told Fox News that the gunman was a disgruntled employee who was fired yesterday from his job at a location either inside the Empire State Building or near it.

The FBI confirmed to FoxNews.com that they were on the scene investigating.
