ChrisitanPost — Jailed Iranian pastor Behnam Irani is “already facing death” after being denied proper medical care, which reportedly goes against what prison officials had promised.
An update on his condition was provided by Worthy News, who contacted Firouz Khandjani, a council member of the pastor’s Church of Iran congregation. According to Khandjani, Pastor Irani was still suffering in jail, and his situation was getting worse.
“He is in need of surgery,” said Jason DeMars, a spokesman for Present Truth Ministries in a phone interview with The Christian Post on Tuesday. “His health has been slowly deteriorating as of late. The Iranian officials at one point stated that he was going to get surgery there in prison, but shortly thereafter they said that he will not be having that surgery.”
Present Truth Ministries has had contact with Irani and seeks to highlight his story to the international community.
